Doing the Right Thing

You are the one.

The one who knows what the right thing is for you in every moment.

The right thing to do is the thing you know instinctively to be the next action to take.

If you are not clear.

Wait.

Maybe wait a little longer.

Then act.

You always know what the right thing is not only for yourself but in how you treat others.

By doing what you know is right again and again, is to build a life to be proud of.

True Friendship

There are precious souls in our lives. They show up sometimes out of the blue and provide a calming encouraging energy. The comfort this brings is immense.

When all is not as you would like it to be, true, pure friendship can be a guiding light.

We must do our part by reaching out.

By being open.

By giving our heartfelt best whether we are the one in need or the one needed.

True friendship is special. And it is always available to us to receive and to create.

Holding On Tight

Are you holding on?Gripping something so tight you are squeezing the air out of it?

Is there something you want so badly it hurts?

When we hold on we suffer.

It takes unnatural effort. It is a kind of resistance to the natural flow of life.

Release the tension you feel and give yourself some freedom. Even a step in that direction can make a noticeable difference.

Make a decision to let it be. Breathe it out. Or simply take a break from it just for today.

Stay Steady

Anyone can say anything.

Anything.

It does not need to be based in fact, truth or reality.

It can be a wild exaggeration.

Or speculation.

Or a complete lie.

Your job is to tune it out.

The opinions others have of us is quite simply none of our business.

Gossip is only gossip.

You know who you are. You know what you have and have not done.

Stay steady in the knowledge that you are doing the best you can with what you know at this point in time.

And truly, consciously give yourself the gift of an amazing day today.

Because you deserve it.

Sleep Is Everything

Did you get enough sleep last night?

Can you schedule in your calendar at least 7 hours sleep tonight?

I mean it. Take out your calendar and set an alarm for 30 minutes before you need to turn out the light, then another one for lights out.

Personally my magic number is 8 hours. Those people who only need 5 or 6 to feel fantastic? That is so not me.

Great rest is everything. When we are well rested everything is just that little bit easier. When we are tired it is just that little bit (or a lot) harder.

If you would like to do take just one powerful action for your well being choose this one today.

The Siri’s Meet In Real Life In NYC

It came as quite a surprise to discover my speaking voice was in iPhones all around the world when the Siri application was released in 2011.  It was good to learn I was not the only one who experienced this unexpected development in my voice-over business!

Susan Bennett is the original American voice of Siri, and we were recently asked to be interviewed TOGETHER for a German podcast (interview coming soon.)  At the end of the interview I told Susan how great it was to finally talk with her – she was in Atlanta, I was in New York and our podcast interviewers were in Germany – and how I had an idea to have a dinner with a whole group of well known voices.  She then let me know she was going to be in New York two days later and invited me to meet her for coffee.

…and two days later we met near the Highline for a fabulous lunch.

Meet THE SIRI’S – what a fun and totally enjoyable experience to meet the amazing Susan and hear about her extraordinary career.

This could just be the start of something big.  Stay tuned!

Might Today Be the Day?

TODAY: It really could be the day.

The day when you start to feel just that little bit better about everything.

The day when a glimmer of light arises.

The day when something truly joyful happens out of the blue.

The day you even notice that truly joyful moment.

Life is hard. Life is out of control busy. And we can make the choice to be in charge of our experience.

It REALLY takes something when we are bombarded from every direction with information and expectation not to mention our own world of not being enough no matter what we do.

Today can really be the day.

Take a deep breath.

And take it one step at a time, one direction at a time.

You really can do this.

There Is a Plan

There is a plan.

You may not see it at this moment but it exists and it is unfolding perfectly.

Now rest easy knowing all you desire is possible if you take consistent action in the direction of your dreams.

You Are the One

This too shall pass –

The difficult times.

The traumatic times.

Even the off the charts amazing times.

All of them come and go.

Are you present and truly paying attention to what is happening in this very moment?

Are you moving so fast that reading this has you wonder how on earth that could be possible?

You.

You are the one.

You are the one who has total control of your experience.

Make it count.
