You are committed.

Really.

Even if you think you are not.

Take a look around your life and the results of what you are committed to are right there. You could be:

Committed to doing whatever you want whenever you want.

Committed to people leaving you alone.

Committed to being right.

Or maybe:

Committed to making a difference.

Committed to being loving even when you don’t feel like being loving

Committed to doing the best you can.

Our actions are a direct result of our commitment. It may seem like our actions are just the things we do to get us through the day, but we have an absolute say in what those actions will be.

If we do not consciously and intentionally commit ourselves to what we want, life will show up and we will live as reactors.

Yes, I know there are times when it feels like life is happening to us and we have absolutely no say in it; but we always have a say in what we think and do. Especially once the dust settles.

Pour all your love and energy in a direction you have chosen for yourself. And if that seems like it is way too much work, decide on one small priority for today.

Perhaps to feel good.

Perhaps to feel even a little bit better than yesterday.

But please, commit to something.
