In August of 2003 Australian Karen Jacobsen was honoured to be invited to sing The Star Spangled Banner for a Boston Red Sox Vs Seattle Mariners Baseball Game at Fenway Park. The ‘ESPN Game of the Week’ had a capacity crowd of 34, 000 people and marked the first of many national anthem performances by Karen at major sporting events in the United States.
