Hands down, the hottest place to be on Thursday, September 23rd was in the West Village at The Duplex, where diva from down under Karen Jacobsen gave a special- and sold out – pre-release concert for her long-awaited new CD Here In My Heart. If you haven’t yet heard – or heard of – Karen Jacobsen, you soon will! The striking, silky-voiced Australian singer/songwriter is fresh off the Cyndi Lauper Summer Tour with fellow artist Jennifer Marks. She’s a huge supporter of gay rights, as evidenced by her many appearances at gay venues and GLBT pride festivals.
