An Australian singer who has found fame in the US is back on home turf to release a new album. Since leaving Sydney with one suitcase in 2000, Karen Jacobsen has become a darling of the New York music scene. Among her achievements was singing the US national anthem to a massive crowd – which included Woody Allen and his family – at Madison Square Garden.
